More Videos of Connor (now that I figured out how to post them!)

Sorry these videos are so dark. For some reason they are lighter on my screen but when I downloaded them to photobucket and youtube, they turned out really dark.

This is Connor in his new Jumperoo. He loves it and I love how his feet jump around. LOL

This is a video of Connor cracking up laughing with Daddy. He was around 4mos old here and this was the first time he ever did a really big belly laugh and we caught it on camera.

This video is of Connor rolling over from his back to stomach. He just mastered this task and I got to video tape it.

This video is Connor bouncing himself to sleep in his new Jumperoo, the day after he got it!

This is a really old video of Connor with Cousin Connor. He was only about 1.5mos old here and Cousin Connor is trying to attack him. It's hilarious.

I'm Leaving on a Jet Plane...

I'm not sure if I told everyone yet, but we're going to OK on Thursday for our hearing to get Connor's adoption finalized! Woo Hoo! I know he is ours already, but after the hearing, he will be ours "legally". I am so happy about that! I'm very anxious about flying with a 6mos old, but we will see how it goes. I feel for the passengers though. LOL

Connor has been so crabby the last few days. He had his 6mos immunizations on Thursday, and he's been kinda crabby ever since. He usually doesn't get crabby afterwards, but he's been sick with a cold too, so it's not helping. I'm wondering if he's cutting a tooth. All day today he wanted me to hold him. When I would put him down in his exersaucer or jumperoo, he just cried and cried. Then I would pick him up and he was fine for a while. I had him on my lap and he would start to fuss again. I fed him, changed him and then finally put him to bed for a couple naps and he would wake up and fuss all over again. I ended up cooking dinner (yes that's a miracle I know) with him on my hip.
At his Dr appt, they said he's 18lb, 9.5 oz and 28 inches long! He's in the 95th percentile for height and the 75-90th for weight they said. He was so good in the Dr's office though. He was happy and talking to the Dr and saying "mommm-maaa" and she was laughing at him. He was his usual smiley self and then the nurse gave him his shots. He looked stunned at the first one like "how dare you hurt me", then he cried for the other 3 shots. When it was over I picked him up and he GLARED at the nurse with a mean look and it was so cute! She was saying sorry to him but he wasn't having it. LOL I got him dressed, gave him a toy and he was smiling again within a minute. I'm glad that his crying doesn't last very long (except these last few days LOL). I just pray he gets over it before our plane ride on Thurs. Ughhh!

Over the wknd we met up with a friend of mine who hadn't met Connor yet. She has a 15mos son and they were so cute together. We went to Olga's and they sat next to one another in high chairs and Connor was just laughing away at Alex. Then he would squeal and then Alex would squeal back at him. Then Alex tried to give Connor a drink of his sippy cup. It was the cutest thing! This was the first time I've actually seen Connor interact with another baby. He loves Trinity (his future wife who's 2.5yrs old and in the pic with him a few posts down where they're staring at one another) . But she's a little older, so seeing him with a younger baby was cute. He was afraid of his cousin Connor the last time we were over cousin Le-Le's house. I think he was having flashbacks of Connor trying to bite his head. ha ha I wish I had a pic of him & Alex together but I left my camera at home. Argghhh!

We have been practicing sitting up with Connor for the past 2 weeks and Connor can now sit up for about 10 min before falling over. We usually sit him in the middle of his boppy pillow or between my legs for some softness if he falls over, since we have hard wood floors and there isn't much cushion under the area rug. We learned the trick is to put a toy in front of him to keep him entertained. He had no interest in sitting up before, and then I read on that someone said they put a toy the heigh of their child in front of him and it helped. Well it defintately did the trick for Connor. He can't get to a sitting position on his own yet, but hopefully he will figure that out soon enough.
If I don't post again before our trip, I will definately post when we get back so you can hear all about it.

My Boys

I Had to post this pic of the 3 guys in my life! I love how Boomer decided to take over the beagles dog bed. His big butt doesn't fit in it, but he sure tried. LOL

Happy Valentines Day!

Here are some pic's of Connor on Valentine's Day. Notice his shirt says "Mommy's Little Valentine"...

Connor's new favorite thing is his jumperoo. He loves to jump and bounce in it for a long time and bounces himself to sleep in it. I have a video of him bouncing until he fell asleep and then he'd wake up and bounce again and then doze back off. It was so cute but I haven't figured out how to add videos to my blog yet. If anyone knows how, please let me know.

Connor said his first word last week. Guess what it was? Yep, he says "mama" now! I was so excited to hear him say it. However, I'm not so sure that he knows what it means. He used to say "umm-mumm" but now he says "mummmmmmmm-ma". It' so cute to here him say it. Earlier he had spit up and I said "uh-oh" and I SWEAR it sounded like he said "uh-oh"! I was like "did I just hear that"? He's too little to say that, so I'm sure I just imagined it, but I swear that's what it sounded like. LOL

I had to have some bloodwork done this morning (just normal stuff like thyroid, cholestorol, sugar) and on my way to the dr I passed a lady getting in her car with her high heels on all dressed up for work. I looked at her and then thought about how lucky I am that I can stay home with Connor. I know that very few people get to do that in this day and age. I can't imagine having to drag Connor out in the cold every morning. He doesn't even get up til 8-9am so I'd have to wake him up early too. When I drove past that lady, I thanked the lord for letting me stay home with Connor! It does feel weird not working sometimes because I've worked since I was 16 years old. However, I do not miss it and am loving being with Connor and getting to see all the new things he's learning to do. I just think about when we first started the adoption process. I was planning on working full-time. So much has changed since then and things fell into place for us and I'm so thankful! Even if I do have to go back to work in the future, I am thankful for the opportunity I've had to watch Connor grow for the first 6mos of his life.

In other news, we are going to Oklahoma to finalize the adoption in March! I'm so excited to get it finalized and be able to get Connor's amended birth certificate! He will be "Officially" ours forever and ever once the adoption is final. I know he is already ours, but I want the "offical" papers to prove it, instead of the "temperary custody order" that we have right now.

Well take care and stay warm :)
